ABSTRACT
The article reports on an announcement made by U.S. President Barack Obama that several U.S. agencies will invest 510 million dollars by 2013 in a biofuel initiative to produce advance drop-in aviation and marine biofuels to power military and commercial transportation. The agencies such as U.S. Department of Agriculture, Department of Energy and Navy will work in partnership with the private sector to speed development of next-generation biofuels.
