ABSTRACT
The article discusses the call for mandatory influenza immunization to health care workers (HCWs) which puts pressure to hospitals seeking ways to implement it. Doctor William Schaffner says that mandatory immunization is needed to get all employees vaccinated. Vanderbilt Occupational Health Clinic medical director Melanie Swift discusses the pitfalls of employer-mandated vaccinations. Moreover, it states that more hospitals are requiring influenza immunization.
