ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the use of suicide bombers in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. A Palestinian suicide bomber recently killed 22 Israelis and wounded many more. Israel is occupying Arab territory because Arab armies attacked it from these territories in 1967. The United States condemns suicide bombings. The government of Israel has pressured the Palestinians to police their people. However, this is futile, and so Israel resorts to force in self-defense. One must understand the phenomenon of suicide bombers before one can deal with it.
