The article reports on the partnership between Accenture plc and the LinkedIn social networking site in 2011 in order to boost the use of social media for recruitment. Accenture started using LinkedIn to recruit towards the end of 2008 and had hired 100 people through the website after a year. According to global head of sourcing Sjoerd Gehring, the best recruitment weapon of Accenture has always been its renowned employee referral program. He says that their move into social media has not been easy.
