The article presents international notes on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) issues as of June 1, 2011. In Australia, the Human Rights Commission contended that there is a strong case for the enactment of federal laws prohibiting discrimination against sexual orientation and gender identity. In Belarus, 15 gay rights activists marching to mark the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia were arrested but soon released. In Ireland, the Ministry of Education issued new guidelines for schools to counter homophobic bullying.
