ABSTRACT
The author discusses open government initiatives. He states that only select government data are being made available to the public, and that access to this kind of information is being controlled by those in power. He believes that aside from an open government initiative, open records laws should also be implemented, as both these policies will allow the public easy access to any type of information they want.
