ABSTRACT
The article reports on the need for home health agencies and hospices to establish internal processes to comply with the face-to-face encounter (F2F) requirements mandated by the U.S. Affordable Care Act (ACA) for purposes of certification of a patient's eligibility for Medicare home health services and of recertification for hospice services. It mentions the continued efforts of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to educate physicians and providers affected by such requirements.
