ABSTRACT
The article presents the text of the proclamation by U.S. President Barack Obama of the 2011 Pan American Day and Pan American Week. He says that the events are intended to celebrate the partnerships which advance the ability of the people to enjoy freedom and reach their aspirations. He believes that the bonds between people are rooted in mutual respect, shared interests and common values. He urges the people to reemphasize the importance of cooperation to the interconnected world.
