ABSTRACT
The article reviews the energy options for Japan after the nuclear meltdown at Fukushima Prefecture. It mentions the highlights of a report by the Nautilus Institute for Security and Sustainability entitled "The Path from Fukushima: Short and Medium-term Impacts of the Reactor Damage Caused by the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami on Japan's Electricity System," by a team headed by David von Hippel and Kae Takase. The article also concludes that the way Japan's energy sector respond to public's reaction to the crisis will determine Japan's nuclear future.
