ABSTRACT
The article reports on the reliance of Venezuela to the oil industry due to the effect of the economic crisis. It is noted that ten percent of the country's gross domestic product (GDP) is coming from a portion of oil accounts from its exports, and that the increment of global oil prices will pull up the economy from recession in late 2010. Moreover, two graphs are presented showing the oil production and petroleum exports, as well as the client loan growth and inflation.
