ABSTRACT
The article looks into the career opportunities for chartered accountants in Ireland and the need to strengthen their information technology (IT) skills combined with their financial expertise. It states that chartered accountants with IT skills can help mediate a fraught relationship between the IT team and the people who rely on their IT systems. It mentions that their understanding of the IT systems, risks, and limitations could lead to business success and systems and business development.
