ABSTRACT
The author criticizes the full-body scan or aggressive pat-down as part of routine screening being implemented at airports by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security through the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). She argues that pat-downs make both travelers and TSA officers uncomfortable and send a message that everyone is a terrorist risk. She also stresses the importance of robust intelligence gathering and information sharing in the battle against terrorism.
