ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the uncertainty in the hotel industry as hotels are confused on where to pitch prices and to approach buyers hardened by the recession in Great Britain. Meanwhile, travel managements seem unable to agree on room rate trends and hotel specialists are also having difficulty to reach the same conclusions. Peter Ducker, executive director of the Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA), advises planning trips to avoid high-rate dates.
