ABSTRACT
The article examines the impact of Affordable Care Act (ACA), whose goals include the increase in coverage access and care for vulnerable people, on U.S. states upon its implementation. It says that states will be facing issues concerning the enrollment and retention of eligible children, the benefits for the eligible people, and the reluctance of medical practitioners and providers to participate. It adds that advocacy may help the states make decisions that would address the said issues.
