ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the challenges faced by Hawkeye squadron in dealing with all the details necessary to deploy the Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) cruise. It states that the there is a need to open up the theater special instructions (SPINS) to prepare the OEF and build squadron subject-matter experts (SMEs) on the pertinent sections. It notes the chapter on personnel recovery (PR) is one section of the SPINS that was closely read and meticulously briefed.
