ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the reviews of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) at defining its missions and organizational needs, as required under the 9/11 Commission Act in the U.S. According to the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the DHS's reviews fully or partially address all nine of the reporting elements as required in the 9/11 Commission Act. It is stated that DHS released a report which laid out five homeland security missions and detailed objectives for each.
