ABSTRACT
The article responds to a preceding thematic article in this issue by Hans Mohr titled "Evolutionary Ethics." The author contends that Mohr's idea of ethics being grounded in evolution is a compelling approach but in places is so speculative as not to displace other approaches or to stand on its own merits. He also questions how analogous cultural evolution based on dubious "memes" is to evolution based on genes.
