ABSTRACT
The article offers a look at the extensive reading and reading strategies in India in an effort to establish extensive reading as a language teaching tool. A definition of reading is presented, along with eight classification of reading skills. Information on intensive and extensive reading is also presented. In addition, the article suggests ways to improve reading, along with the role of teachers in the implementation of extensive reading program.
