ABSTRACT
The article offers information on international transmission grids. The coordination of interests among transmission system operators across 20 European countries is covered by the Union for the Coordination of Transmission of Electricity (UCTE), which supplies power to about 400 million people and distributes approximately 2,100 terrawatthours (TWh) annually. Other transmission grids featured include the CENTREL, the NORDEL and the Unified Power System (UPS).
