Senate president fiercely defends new excise taxes on offshore corporations

The article reports on the defense of Senate President Thomas Rivera Schatz on the excise tax on offshore corporations that purchase goods or services produced in the island. Rivera Schatz emphasized in an interview that the new excise tax will finance the initial phases of the announced tax reform. He added that the excise tax was consulted with the law firms in the U.S. and with the federal government.
