ABSTRACT
The article reports on the development of an offshore wind farm on Lake Erie in North America. It says that Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo) selected Bechtel, Cavallo, and GLWEnergy to build Great Lakes Ohio Wind LLC (GLOW), a company that will expand the project. It adds that the construction of the initial phase of the project will be in 2012, and by 2020, LEEDCo plans to see 1,000 megawatt (MW) of renewable electricity generated from lake winds.
