The article discusses the price disconnect experienced by financial advisors despite the recovering mergers and acquisitions (M&A) market in the U.S. It says that prospective buyers remain wary as they see lower growth rates compared to those during the boom years. According to investment banker Liz Nesvold of Silver Lane Advisors, everybody is talking in the financial planning industry but there is not a lot of doing. The guarantees and warranties demanded by nervous buyers about the businesses they are buying are also discussed.
