ABSTRACT
The article features several painters in the U.S. including Wayne Thiebaud, Roy Lichtenstein, and Andy Warhol. Painter Thiebaud teaches at the University of California's Davis campus and paints confectioneries. Highland Park, New Jersey painter Lichtenstein began his fine-arts career by painting semi-abstracts and comic-strip cartoon characters in an abstract-expressionist art. Painter Warhol makes advertisements for women's magazines and his paints objects of everyday living.
