TECHNOLOGY: Dispatches from the Field. Measuring E-Resource Use

The article discusses methods of evaluating remote use of electronic library resources. The evolution of e-resource usage studies and statistics is examined and organizations dedicated to standardizing data collection including Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources (COUNTER) and the Standard Usage Statistics Harvesting Institute (SUSHI) are explored.
