ABSTRACT
The article offers information on improving interactions between incarcerated parents and their children in correctional systems in the U.S. An action plan has been developed by the Council of State Governments Justice Center, along with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the Open Society Institute to raise awareness of the needs of such children. Results show that children who maintain close ties with such parents experience less emotional distress.
