ABSTRACT
The article reports on the rapid growth of Germany when it comes to the deployment of renewable energy resources, especially solar, compared to the Great Britain. In 2009, more than 16% of electricity in Germany was generated by renewable resources, while Great Britain had just 6%. Additionally, development of solar photovoltaics and other solar projects in Germany has been increasing, while Great Britain's slows far behind.
