ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the life and career of Martha Reeves, a former member of the girl group Vandellas. Reeves and the Vandellas made their first music recording for Motown in 1963 and released 12 singles since then until 1967. After her release from Motown, she got into drugs and experienced depression until her spiritual rebirth in 1977. The trend of popular music revivals helped spurred her career.
