ABSTRACT
The article discusses the food trend of incorporating savory flavors in various beverage and food products. Various food flavors like chicken and garlic are being used as a partial replacement for salt in some vegetable dishes. Exotic vegetables like piquante pepper and fruits such as Yuzu are added to many dishes to enhance its flavor. The growing interest in the umami flavor and the combination of sweet and savory tastes are also described.
