ABSTRACT
Abstract: Published reports and economic theory suggest that a worker's earnings may be affected by his ° of obesity. The purpose of this research was to estimate the size of such an effect. The earnings-obesity hypothesis was tested with data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Mature Men. Results of the test suggest that for members of that sample there is no earnings-depressant effect due to obesity.
