ABSTRACT
The article presents information Union Railways' plans to develop a federal rail network linking the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Details of the proposed route of the new UAE railway are provided. Facts about two major construction phases of the project are given. It is stated that for overseeing the construction of gas and sulphur production, the firm is bidding on project management and consultancy (PMC) deals.
