ABSTRACT
The article reports that U.S. President Barack Obama's support of offshore oil drilling, has led to disappointment among young climate activists who worked to mobilize voters to elect the president. A new national plan was announced by Obama on March 31, 2010, which includes expanding oil leasing into large areas off the Atlantic Coast and Gulf of Mexico. An article on the blog "It's Getting Hot In Here" calls the announcement as "a kick in the face."
