ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the emergence of community solar ownership. It says that the communities are already developing approaches so that customers will be able to share renewable energy systems. It mentions the Solar Community Project of Ellensburg, Washington wherein the contributors receive a solar credit for the power produced by the system right on their electricity bills and the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) which allows customers to contribute through subscriptions.
