This article details the economic and trade boycott by the Arab League against Israel. The boycott by the Arab League has raised controversy and concern among companies, businessmen and politicians in the U.S. The growing economic clout of the Arab countries has made this boycott important for U.S. companies wanting to conduct business in Arab countries. Several U.S. companies such as Coca-Cola and Xerox have been banned from doing business in Arab countries for their economic relations with Israel. For Israel the boycott does not concern them and has no impact on their economy. Questions about the legality of Arab League's boycott was defended by Arab countries on political and national interest grounds and they cited that the U.S. itself is engaged in boycott practice which it calls embargo.
