ABSTRACT
The article reports on the negotiation between independent Palestinian personalities and representatives from the Fatah Central Committee to address differences with the Islamist faction Hamas. In the statement issued by Yasser al-Wadieh, who led the talks, the importance of the Palestinian national reconciliation is stressed. It is noted that the two groups have been divided since 2006 following the parliamentary elections.
