ABSTRACT
The article reports on the improvement of messaging services by rival companies, Google Inc. and Facebook Inc. According to "The Wall Street Journal," Google will add a new feature to its Gmail service allowing the users to easily view and set social status updates. On the other hand, Facebook is planning to modify its messaging service, which is not available on other e-mail systems.
