ABSTRACT
In this article the author discusses the theology of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS), or the Mormon Church, as it perceives the theory of evolution. He poses and responds to questions of how the theory of evolution can be relevant to the doctrines of the Mormon Church. For the purposes of his paper, he assumes that the theory of natural selection as proposed by the naturalist Charles Darwin is true. He discusses the theory of intelligent design and the teachings of the theological professor Niels Gregersen.
