ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the sustainability efforts of various towns including Juhnde of Germany and Idaho towns Ketchum and Sandpoint. It mentions that Juhnde is the first German community powered by cattle manure wherein bacteria from the manure generate bio-gas combusted to electricity. It states that the Sandpoint Woody Biomass Project was awarded with 250,000 dollars by the Idaho Office of Energy Resources (OER) to be used in building high-pressure steam boiler system to generate electricity.
