ABSTRACT
The article discusses the role of Agricultural Cooperative Extension Service model to offer academic health centers methodologies to address the social determinants of disease in New Mexico. It notes that the University of New Mexico Health Services Center developed the Health Extension Rural Offices (HEROs) as vehicle for its model facilitated by the health extension agents. It mentions that these HEROs are supported by the regional coordinators for community health service.
