ABSTRACT
The article reports on the emergence of the nonprofit Puerto Rican Green Energy Association (APEV) as a watchdog on efforts in implementing renewable and efficient energy policies and products in Puerto Rico. According to APEV president Allan Rivera, the organization is monitoring the development of legislations on energy issues and ensures that its implementation will have few glitches. It states that APEV contributed to the discussion on net metering in 2007.
