ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increases of shipping rates of major shipping companies in the U.S. In December 2009, FedEx Corp. announced that it will increase the standard rates for its FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery by an average of 4.9% effective January 2010 and 5.9% for its domestic and export services. Moreover, the US Postal Service also unveiled in October 2009 that it will not raise its rates on market dominant products, but priority mail will rise by 3.3% and express mail by 4.5%.
