ABSTRACT
The article reports on the announcement by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) that the department will target 41.9 million dollars in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding for fuel cell development. DOE stated that the fund will be allocated to 12 companies for 14 projects and to subsidize the purchase of fuel cell vehicles that include FedEx and Anheuser-Busch. The government agency added that the fund aimed to improve the fuel cells in order to provide power in stationary, portable and specialty vehicle applications as part on the move to reduce and cut carbon emission.
