ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the competitive landscape of the United Arab Emirates. The government-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is the dominant player in the upstream oil sector, comprising nearly half of the country's oil production and 36% of its refining capacity. The Emirate of Abu Dhabi holds approximately 95% of the oil and gas reserves of the country. Other oil and gas companies operating in the region include ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil and Shell.
