ABSTRACT
The article reports on the study conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). It states that FMCSA is so slow in imposing those improvements in protecting the consumer. GAO recommended that Department of Transportation (DOT) should consider in evaluating whether the household goods program will be moved to Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) and deal the problems with FMCSA's effort on consumer protection.
