ABSTRACT
The article reports on the visit of South African anti-Apartheid leader and union official Ziko Tamela in the Israeli occupied West Bank to gain insight into the Palestinian reality on the ground and to forge stronger links for solidarity work. The activities organized by Badil Resource Center for Tamela include a tour of Deheishah refugee camp, an exchange with the children of Laji' cultural center and a visit to the Church of the Nativity. The union official also shared aspects of the South African struggle against apartheid.
