ABSTRACT
The article reports that the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) is encouraging Medicare beneficiaries to take advantage of the Open Enrollment period from November 15 to December 31, 2009. During this period, beneficiaries can also alter their coverage through online access and telecommunication. CMS is also offering suggestions to aid beneficiaries protect themselves against fraud and identity theft during the period.
