The article reports on the competition among members of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) union to raise funds for the VOTE-COPE campaign at Mount Vernon in Westchester County, New York. Jeff Yonkers, president of the union, remarks the massive participation of union members in coming up with the biggest fund for the campaign. Furthermore, it states the aim of the campaign in convincing lawmakers to reject the proposal of the New York governor.
