ABSTRACT
The article describes the "Manuscript London, British Library, Or. 3126," a book of 285 leaves in quarto size by al-Ghazali. There are only 15 lines per quarto page and the handwriting is in large naskhi, possibly by a professional scribe. It is suggested that, due to the characteristics of the paper and the handwriting, the book may date to the sixth to 12th century, during al-Ghazali's lifetime. There are seven treatises in the book, each divided into chapters with sections, remarks, admonitions and invocations. The condemnation of the falasifa teachings and proof of God's existence and His unity are expressed in some passages. Metaphysics is the only subject dealt with in the book compared with al-Ghazali's "Tahafut al-falasifa."
