Facing the Consequences of Facebook: What Employers Can Do with Information Obtained from Social Networking Sites

Many employers often question the appropriate action when learning about their employee's personal conduct based on information obtained from Facebook. The concern has prompted states to work to balance the reasonable privacy expectations of employees against the legitimate interests employers have in the business' reputation, employee safety and higher insurance costs.
