ABSTRACT
The article reports on the advantages of the incorporation of software into third-party consumer electronics devices that feature Blockbuster On Demand movies by Sonic Solutions. According to Sonic and Blockbuster, an increase in video-on-demand (VOD) attach rates among consumers by 50 percent was attributed to the Blockbuster brand name. The Roxio CinemaNow software of Sonic is included in TiVo digital video recorders.
