ABSTRACT
The article discusses North American migrations and the study of the history of diversity in the U.S. The author examines the multiple trajectories of immigrants and the flexible nature of borders between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The author explains that the North American macro-region compromises at least five cultures, three continental nations, the Caribbean cultural region, and Quebec. Subjects of the article also include cultural-political negotiations, social spaces, and migrating women.
